Due to changes in the mortgage industry and how organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, must function, it is unsurprising to find more and more affiliates merging their operations. Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley (HFHMV) has merged with both Trumbull and Columbiana Counties within the last two years to streamline operations, decrease administrative costs, and to ensure quality service is provided to the tri-county area.
Moving forward, HFHMV hopes to start building a home in each county each year as it expands its operations in the Valley. With the completion of two homes in the Mahoning County this year, HFHMV will begin a rehab project in Warren on Willard Avenue NE. The project will begin this month, December, and continue throughout the winter. As always, volunteers are needed to make a house into a home.
